A Short Check List for Field Work:

• One week before the field work, contact Dr. Jascha Polet with following info: equipment needed, dates, site, and field crew
• Every student has to submit a release form to the department office
• Only students are allowed to directly interact with the equipment
• Make sure to bring any permits you might have to the site, and/or to contact local groundskeepers/rangers to let them know of your plans if needed
• After the field work is completed (within one day), send Dr. Polet a short summary of the work done
• Make sure to return each piece of equipment to its proper spot and to charge everything

Equipment Issues

You can report any minor issues with all types of equipment. (Of course you should report any major problems immediately!) Also check over this page before running any experiments. (10/22/2014)

GigaPan Epic Pro

• GigaPan Manual, written by Rosa Nguyen, includes detailed information on the set up and use of the GigaPan and camera for our geo-scientific purposes
• GigaPan Quick Start Guide, a one-page quick set up and use guide for experienced users
• GigaPan Equipment Overview, an overview of the equipment as well as directions to charge the GigaPan
• Complete Epic Pro Manual from GigaPan Systems, a comprehensive guide including list of advanced settings and options, such as for timelapse or a 360-degree panorama. If you do decide to use any of these extra settings, please remember to return the GigaPan to its default settings for following use.
